Donald A. Jusko

Traditional Realist

Painting Maui on Location since 1978 Don’s painting technique of not using black pigment, lead to the discovery of color relationships and a new color theory based on elements of color that really works.  Having been featured in major art magazines several times in the past few years, his Maui Gallery in 1996 sold more original paintings than any artist in Hawaii.  He has and will continue to make a mark in the art world.

Known as the Traveling Artist on Maui and is a master of traditional realism, his colors are always vibrant and as natural as nature, the subjects come alive on his canvas.  This style harkens to that of Coret, Millet, Eakins and Homer, who based their works upon experiences directly perceived from nature.
