Most of the jacaranda trees on Maui are in the 2,000 to 4,000 foot elevation. This tree is in Kula.   Lahaina Cranehouse One hundred years ago this type of housing dotted the island, the sugar cane workers lived in them. Today they are getting very rare and are worth painting.   Nahiku Sunshine Fruitstand Fruit Stands come and go here. This one was in Nahiku. It's speciality was limes from the great lime tree in their backyard. I liked this palm tree because I could sit in the shade while I was painting it.   Hosmeir Groove Pathway I know this has some water color properties, but that's what you get when you work in both mediums, a happy medium! It's cold up here at 6,000 feet, but the air is so clean it keeps me coming back for more.   Pookaia Wayside Park Pookaia Park is about 15 miles from Hana, the area is very lush and inviting. A perfect picnic lunch spot if you are driving to Hana.
