Aloha Falls Two miles backpacking into the jungles of Nahiku to get to this waterfall, three days in a row. No one ever said it would be easy. The light was fantastic, never had I ever seen so much transparent yellow-green. It was because of the translucent canopy of trees.

Paunani Sugar Mill This is the last sugar mill on Maui, I thought I should paint it before it closed. It's located in the isthmus of Maui where it could receive cane from all directions.

Iao Valley Pathway My friend lives in the Iao Valley where it is very lush. I had a roll of wide canvas which I glued to a 4'x8' plywood back. Oil is actually a faster medium to paint with then acrylics. I do love them both.

Oluwalu Waves Oluwalu is 9 miles south of Lahaina, with lots of good parking places to get close to the water. I like catching pure colors in a painting, this one has pure red, yellow, cyan, cobalt blue and ultramarine blue. Nice catch!

Anthurium Painted in Nahiku, where there are plenty of wild anthuriums. This one was growing next to Tom Booth's stairway to the house.

Huelo Palm Pathway This is a water color that I really like. I haven't printed it yet. It's right outside Phil's house in Huelo. Phil was a water color painter, that's why I painted so many watercolors in Huelo.
